Lumbrical Strengthening

Step by Step

  1. In certain circumstances the smaller muscle of the hand can become weak
  2. An important group of muscles is called the lumbricals
  3. This exercise shows you how to train these muscles to improve your hand function
  4. Place your hand down flat on a surface. Now trying to keep your fingers straight to the knuckles slide the tips of your fingers to your palm so that your knuckles raise up to the ceiling and slowly return to the start position.
  5. This exercise is about building up the reps you can do well
  6. Perform as many as possible with good technique and repeat for 4 sets with at least 3 minutes between sets.
  7. Perform the routine 3 times per week
