“I had one session with a physio and the exercises that they gave me made it worse so I’m not going back.” Ok, so this is a problem because rehab exercises are designed to stress your injury to create an adaptation to improve the sensitivity and ultimately improve your function. If an exercise seems to irritate your injury then it clearly is loading it but maybe it is overloading it. So this means it could be the correct exercise but simply needs adjusting to find the sweet spot. So, why couldn’t the sweet spot be found straight away when the exercise was given? Should I give up on my physio if my exercises make me worse?
