Tensor Fascia Lata Stretch

Step by Step

  1. This exercise helps to stretch the Tensor Fascia Lata muscle on the front side of your hip.
  2. Like any exercise this should be pain free or shouldn’t increase existing pain levels, during, after and the next day.
  3. Stand side on to a wall with the side that you want to stretch closest to the wall
  4. Place you hand on the wall for support
  5. Next place your closest to the wall leg behind the other one and cross it to the outside of your outer foot
  6. Now at the same time lean your hips sideways to the wall and your upper body away from the wall
  7. You should feel a stretch in the TFL area
  8. Once you reach the desired range then hold the stretch for 20-30 seconds and repeat this 4-6 times per day
