Lower back flexion relaxation drill

Step by Step

  1. This exercise relaxes your lower back
  2. Like any exercise this should be pain free or shouldn’t increase existing pain levels, during, after and the next day.
  3. In standing, while keeping your knees straight slowly lower the your arms straight down your legs to the floor by slowly rounding the back until you can’t go any lower
  4. Once you reach this position then try to actively relax the muscles in your back as your breathe
  5. Hold the position to gain the most relaxation and motion this can be up to 20-30 seconds
  6. Then reverse the process back to the top
